PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Manager of Agile Transformation is responsible for managing organizational cultural and structural changes. This role involves working closely with leadership teams to assess and realign structures, processes, and cultural norms to support agile working methods. The Agile Transformation Manager will break down silos, foster cross-functional collaboration, and promote transparency and continuous improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides strategic and leadership of agile operations.
* Embraces servant leadership and displays behaviors that come with the agile mindset.
* Evaluates current models, identifies improvement areas, and analyzes organizational structures and processes.
* Establishes collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and team members to aid in the Agile adoption journey.
* Collaborates across the Value Management Office to design and support full Agile transformations within teams.
* Develops and maintains measurement and scorecards.
* Guides implementation, provides hands-on coaching, and facilitates workshops and training.
* Coaches and guides teams on the mechanics of Lean and Agile methods to keep growing the Agile mindset.
* Delivers hands-on coaching of individual teams in all aspects of Agile Frameworks (e.g., daily meetings, planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, managing flow, backlog maturity, limiting WIP, etc.).
* Demonstrates a strong fundamental understanding of business operations (e.g., planning, budgeting, resource management, etc.) and influences the enterprise into maturing with data-driven decision making.
* Establishes metrics, addresses challenges, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
* Leads Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) and shares lessons learned, creates playbooks, and supports other enterprise Centers of Excellence.
* Stays updated on industry trends and contributes to thought leadership content.
* Creates, builds, and delivers customized Agile training modules with support from Learning and Development teams.
Manages and leads a team of agile professionals.
* Directly supervises employees within the assigned team.
* Performs hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, coaching, and development planning.
* Ensures compliance with ICW policies, processes, and performance standards.
* Mentors team members to build technical depth and grow careers.
* Holds regular 1:1s, provides coaching, feedback, and supports development plans.
* Proactively addresses performance issues and fosters a culture of accountability.
* Ensures all team members are trained, onboarded, and aligned with department expectations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONISBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the Release Train Engineer and Scrum Master roles. These responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; conducting performance and salary reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to further their skills and knowledge; creating and monitoring development plans; setting performance expectations/goals; forecasting staffing needs and planning for peak times and absences; enforcing department policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERINCE
* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required, with a major or emphasis in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
* Minimum 10 years in leading enterprise operating models.
* Minimum 8 years in overseeing and leading a team of employees.
* People management experience required.
* Experience in multiple agile methodologies.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
* SAFe Practice Consultant required. Other SAFe domain certifications are highly desired.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
* Deep understanding of the Agile mindset, Servant Leadership,
* Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive change in complex environments.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Competencies in analytical thinking and decision-making.
* Experience in building strong and collaborative relationships within internal IT partner organizations.
* Proven track record in implementing multi-domain operating models.
* Expertise in financial management with an understanding of insurance.
* Strong partnership-building skills with executives and cross-functional teams.
* Leadership and storytelling skills to guide organizational change.
* Ability to influence and align teams.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee may need to sit in front of a computer for a period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally need to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment.
The current range for this position is
$139,874.00 - $250,377.40
This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors unique to each candidate, including experience, education and the location of the role and considers employees performing substantially similar work.
