Key Responsibilities

MIS Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and implement the organization's MIS strategy to support business objectives.
• Plan and oversee system upgrades, enhancements, and integration projects to ensure the MIS aligns with current and future business needs.
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and IT governance policies.

System Management and Maintenance:

• Manage and maintain the organization’s MIS infrastructure, including software, hardware, databases, and reporting tools.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and support of custom applications or third-party software solutions.
• Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Data Management and Reporting:

• Manage data collection, processing, and storage to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools to support decision-making across departments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize reporting needs and data insights.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and manage the MIS team, providing direction, support, and mentorship.
• Identify training and development opportunities to build the team’s technical expertise.
• Promote a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and system support.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their requirements and ensure MIS solutions meet organizational needs.
• Manage contracts and budgets related to MIS operations.

Risk Management:

• Monitor and mitigate risks related to MIS operations, including cybersecurity threats and data breaches.
• Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in MIS, IT management, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud-based solutions.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data governance standards.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and processes and recommend improvements.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering reliable, high-quality solutions.
