Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks in a food manufacturing environment to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely. The role includes conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and improve processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a food manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of maintenance processes and techniques
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
