Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Maintenance Engineer at our facility you will have the opportunity to be both an expert in your field and a caregiver, providing important services for our patients and staff. Every role has an impact on our patients’ lives and you have the opportunity to make a difference. You will joining an impressive team that prides themselves on keeping our hospital functioning well and looking its best. In this role:
You will assist in the performance of duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of the hospital in good repair.
You will help maintain and repair HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
You will perform urgent corrective, routine, and requisitions repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required.
You will assist in maintaining electrical wiring and emergency generator systems and inspect/test equipment and systems.
You will assist in replacing, installing, repairing, and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required.
You will perform manual duties as requested and maintain routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on equipment and systems. You will provide friendly, professional interactions with others as you encounter patients, visitors, and other hospital staff throughout your assigned shifts
What qualifications you will need:
One year of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a hospital setting.
HVAC Certification preferred.
Good mechanical aptitude with supporting technical (electrical) troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of basic plumbing/piping systems.
Uses volt/ohm meters, pressure/vacuum gauges.
Reads and understands blueprints, circuit diagrams, and schematics.
