Safety and Environment

Maintenance Management
- Ensure all infra structure is maintained, repaired and inspected as needed
- Inspection – Tanks, Pipelines, Hazardous areas Tank Overfill protection,
Pressure vessels. Establishing a long-term inspection schedule & maintain
a record for all items of critical equipment
- Review and assessment of inspection results (in conjunction with technical
assistance) in accordance with relevant codes to determine suitability for
critical equipment to remain in service
- Ensure that all records of inspections, certificates and registers are kept up
to date. Any identified faults prioritised and actioned
- Life cycle management of hoses, and pumps. Delegate maintenance job
and projects to Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintain a healthy stock of spares based on their safety criticality & Spare
parts policy & Management
- Maintain and update regulated assets register & update SWI’s
- Generate monthly KPI report for Maintenance Manager and Terminal
Manager
- Plans, scope and schedule maintenance for the terminal – This should be
done in liaison with the Terminal Management Team
- Performs & executes coordination activities as per Vopak’s Maintenance
Management Framework including ME2 management and update
- Incident investigation (Tripod, CLC, FEMA ) and corrective actions
Terminal Maintenance Plan & Budget
- Develop and manage annual maintenance Opex & Capex Budget (inputs to
be taken from the Capex Team & Terminal Manager)
- Ensure that maintenance plans are updated with results of criticality
reviews, changes in maintenance procedures, audit results and action
requirements, and Vopak minimum standards
Quality Assurance
- Coordinate the deployment of quality systems and certification process to
ensure Quality standards are met
- Determine, negotiate and agree on quality procedures, standards and
specifications
- Investigating and setting standards for quality
- Ensure all our processes comply with Vopak standards and applicable
Australian Standards & / or Legislation
- Act as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance and quality
- Sign MOC (as inspection)
Procurement
- Source and order parts/ equipment/ tools/ services required for
maintenance and project work
Training
- SME for ops training in maintenance field (prepare and deliver training)
Projects
Work with Source and order parts/ equipment/ tools/ services required for
the engineering and coordination of terminal projects
- Provide a project engineering service between consultant, contractor and
Vopak throughout the project.
- Design coordination with Consultant during FEED and during detailed
design.
- Design review (including attending HAZOP and safety studies, etc.) and
make professional judgement on design based on Vopak Standards and RF
(Repeatable Formula).
- Ensure project is carried out in accordance with the Vopak Project
Management (VPM) requirements, regulatory and statutory requirements
and requirements set out by Vopak Standards, National and International
Codes, Standards, best practices, and the equipment manufacturers.
Maximise the operational safety, reliability and economic return in all
situations
- Provide regular project status reports that include updates on cost control,
schedule, safety, risks and quality.
- Proactively manage and communicate any threats / risks that arise during
the course of a project
- Assist in the preparation the CAPEX 3YMP
- Liaise with Head of Engineering & Projects Australia
- Assist Commissioning Manager with preparation of ITPs (Inspection Test
Plans), commissioning procedures and schedules
- PM Brownfields SMP and E&I work. Manage contractors during execution
to contract.
- Complete scope of work for identified projects where required
- Assist in identified operation projects where required
- Prepare PSSR/hand over (re commissioning check sheet)
Qualifications And Experience
Degree of variance in planned vs. actual KPIS based on the maintenance ambition score card (per year)
- On time scheduling and completion of inspection of all critical equipment on site (per year)

- Degree of variance in performance compliance to internal audit requirements (per year).
- Extent of compliance in plant and equipment maintenance against Vopak standards and
manufacturer’s specifications (per year).
- Number/Percentage of equipment certificates/register/asset list updated (per year).
- Extent of data accuracy in ME2 (per year).
- Average time taken to source required procurements (per year).
Degree of variance in maintenance budget against stipulated levels (per year).
- Degree of variance in schedules against projects’ stipulations (per year).

Experience in petroleum and chemical industry
- Financial and Procurement or contract management
- 7+ years of Maintenance management experience
- Experience in purchasing or tendering would be preferable
- Ability to technically assess project scope, conduct hydraulic calculation and have process
design capability
- Multi-disciplinary project management experience (5 years) in the Oil and Chemical industries
- Experience in civil and structural, electrical and instrumentation, mechanical or process
projects in the storage and handling of petroleum; in particular fuel tank farms.
- Ability in CAD and scheduling software preferred but not essential
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to execute plans and work under pressure
- Exposure to Personal / Process Safety
Education
Graduate Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical)
- 2 years as Project Management Lead
