Key Responsibilities For The Hotel Rooms Maintenance Include

  • Cleaning and Housekeeping: Vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms (toilets, showers, sinks), and restocking amenities like towels, toiletries, and minibar items.
  • Inspecting Rooms: Checking for damages, worn-out furnishings, or malfunctioning equipment (e.g., lights, HVAC, plumbing) and reporting issues.
  • Minor Repairs: Performing basic fixes like replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, tightening loose fixtures, or patching small wall damages.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conducting routine checks on systems like air conditioning, heating, and plumbing to prevent breakdowns.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities; reporting low inventory to supervisors.
  • Responding to Guest Requests: Addressing maintenance issues reported by guests, such as fixing leaky faucets or adjusting thermostats.
  • Ensuring Safety and Compliance: Following safety protocols, using cleaning chemicals properly, and ensuring rooms meet health and safety standards.
  • Trash Removal: Collecting and disposing of trash and recyclables from rooms and common areas.
  • Furniture and Equipment Care: Cleaning and maintaining furniture, appliances, and fixtures to extend their lifespan.
  • Reporting Major Issues: Notifying supervisors or engineering teams about significant repairs beyond their scope, like electrical or structural problems.
  • Maintaining Common Areas: Cleaning and maintaining lobbies, hallways, elevators, or other shared spaces as assigned.
  • Adhering to Schedules: Completing tasks within set timeframes to ensure rooms are ready for new guests.

What We Are Looking for in a Hotel Rooms Maintenance include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as elevators and fire safety equipment.
  • Skills in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for long-term efficiency.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair issues promptly across a variety of hotel systems
  • Understanding energy-efficient practices and systems to reduce costs and improve sustainability.
  • Certifications like HVAC Technician, Electrician License, or OSHA safety training are preferred.
  • Awareness of how maintenance activities can impact guests and taking measures to minimize disruptions.
