Our client is seeking a qualified Mainframe Storage Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Durham, NC. This position has a federal agency as an end client and requires candidates to obtain a public trust clearance. This sits onsite 5 days per week in Durham.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• 7 years of experience or more as a Mainframe Storage Engineer.
• 7 years of experience with problem monitoring and engineering problem resolutions on virtual tape architectures.
• 5 years of experience with Dell/EMC, VSM, VLE and ZFS Virtual tape Libraries.
• 5 years of experience with IBM Job Control Language (JCL).
• 4 years of experience with CA-1 Tape Management System (TMS) and CA Vantage.
• 4 years of experience supporting Disaster Recovery planning, testing, monitoring and restoration for virtual tape storage systems
• 3 years of experience designing and building Storage Management System (SMS).
• 2 years of experience using Data Domain Management Center (DDMC)
• 2 years of experience using Time Sharing Option (TSO) on mainframe systems
• 2 years of experience with Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF).
• Expertise in the Linux command-line environment
