Kforce has a client that is seeking a Mainframe Developer in Westlake, TX.* 8+ years of proven experience in mainframes * Some level of experience with architectural patterns of large or high-scale applications; We believe in applying the right technology depending on the challenge, and are always exploring new technologies to continually provide value to our customers * You have a passion for technology and can navigate your way across complex and rapidly changing landscapes by staying on top of latest trends and thrive by sharing knowledge * JAVA/J2EE or any web service application development * Cloud computing environments and applications (AWS) * Agile methodologies (SCRUM) * Collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization globally * Strong team player * Strong programming skills with digital approach, and proficient Mainframe technology components including COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, CICS * Have good communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in significant discussions * Ability to blend development with testing by participating in quality efforts; We consider software quality is ensured through prevention rather than detection * Some experience with API services development would be nice to have
