Summary
Responsibilities
- Gain a thorough understanding of the Criminal Case Management System and other Judiciary applications to support development based on business and system requirements.
- Analyze and interpret program specification requirements to design and implement technical solutions.
- Develop, modify, and deliver mainframe programs based on approved specifications.
- Conduct unit testing to validate functionality and collaborate with users for system testing.
- Create and maintain clear, concise technical and user documentation to support application development and maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven, hands-on experience in developing, testing, and debugging applications using COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
- Proficient with IBM OS/JCL (MVS) and IBM DB2 environments.
- Strong background in CICS application development.
- Desired experience with system conversions from IDMS/DC to CICS, and IDMS to DB2.
- Familiarity with usability testing and direct collaboration with end users during system testing phases.
- Experience in APPC/LU 6.2 or MQ programming in COBOL-CICS environments.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining complex DB2 stored procedures
