About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe Developer/Designer who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring teammates, and working on reliable, large-scale systems. This is a great opportunity to take a leadership role in technical design and development while contributing to impactful projects.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and develop applications using COBOL, PL/I, and CICS on mainframe systems.
• Create and manage job processes using JCL (Job Control Language).
• Work with databases like DB2 and IMS to store and access business data.
• Use tools such as FileAid, SAS, Expeditor, Easytrieve, and Abend Aid for testing and debugging.
• Handle code versioning and release management using ENDEVOR and Changeman.
• Mentor and guide junior developers and collaborate with business analysts and testers.
• Develop and integrate APIs using web services (XML/JSON) for modern system interfaces.
• Participate in Agile teams, working cross-functionally to deliver solutions efficiently.

Must-Have Skills:

• 8–10 years of experience in mainframe application development and design.
• Strong working knowledge of COBOL, PL/I, JCL, DB2, IMS, CICS.
• Experience with code management tools such as ENDEVOR and Changeman.
• Familiarity with mainframe utilities and tools like REXX, SAS, FileAid, Expeditor.
• Hands-on experience with APIs and web services (using XML and JSON).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute across teams.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the Capital Markets or Financial Services domain.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
