We’re seeking someone to join our team as (Director) will work for central software team. we are multinational bank holding company where mainframe availability is mission critical. The role requires the judicious exercise of privileged Mainframe access and rigorous adherence to security policies.

Enterprise_Technology

Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanley’s software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions.

Mainframe Computing Provides mainframe computing systems that offer the highest level of resiliency, security, data reliability, and operational risk reduction for financial transactional processing delivered via innovative operational practices and modern technical solutions

Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering

This is Director position that manages and optimizes technical infrastructure and ensures the seamless operation of IT systems to support business needs effectively.

What You’ll Do In The Role

You will be responsible for Mainframe software installations, upgrades and maintenance across Mainframe computing. You will be communicating with all Mainframe engineering teams and collaborate various changes to the environments based of the requirement and priority basis.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • At least 4+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of industry standard command line interface tools and hardware consoles.
  • Strong knowledge of Mainframe z/OS, SMPE/E and JCL.
  • Experience with various software installations, upgrades and maintenance.
  • Have strong familiarity with Job Entry Subsystem (JES) commands on the mainframe.
  • Perform and verify system configuration changes as specified during weekend implementations.
  • Identify issues using commercially available monitoring tools (e.g. Sysview, Netmaster) and resolve them.
  • Should be able to assess software usage and bring some ideas to replace or decommission the software with an alternative approach.
  • Must have strong expertise in REXX coding to automate in different areas.
  • Experience on OMVS skills.

General Skills Required

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong English written and verbal skills (able to communicate to customers and stakeholders).
  • Ability to digest security, cybersecurity, and policy training documents.
  • Familiarity with Service-Now ticketing software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Familiarity with Windows interface and toolsets.
  • Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook skills.
  • Ability to create and improve technical procedural documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience with high-availability environments a plus.

Preferred Skills

  • SMP/E
  • Knowledge of IBM Z Mainframe and z/OS
  • REXX
  • JCL and batch problem diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of Data Transfer protocols –NDM, FTP
  • ITIL certification a plus.
  • Previous Financial Firm experience
