Position Summary

Under general direction, operates machinery to weld two components of a part together that stays in a locked position once the part is installed in the final product form.

Position Accountabilities

• Reviews work order and blueprints specifications for wire, tooling and machine set-up.
• Prepares test parts for lab inspection purposes.
• Inertia welds the tail and head components of a part.
• Insures that product/part conforms to all required specifications.
• Completes the order by cleaning the parts of contaminants.
• Complies with all environmental safe practices and regulations. Reads all MSDS’ and possesses thorough knowledge of all oil and chemical labeling and storage requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
