The sorting operator provides support functions to keep the sorting line running smoothly. This is an entry level skillset and training can be done on the job.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
Set-up multiple vision systems to sort product
Set-up rotary and vibratory bowls
Tape, label and palletize boxes
Support the making and feeding of ¼ kegs onto lines
Dump product into bulk hoppers
Drive a standup lift to move skids of product
Basic piece and time transactions on RF scanner
Replace labels and ribbons on label makers
Troubleshoot jams in bowls
Run boundary samples on the production lines
Meet Schedules and timelines
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Complete all paperwork the role requires
Follow all work instructions in the department
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful in this position.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Lift up to 50lb boxes repeatedly
Overtime availability
Ability to perform at high levels in a fast pace constantly changing environment
Ability to work as part of a team
Personal Skills And Competencies
Experience with RF guns
Basic computer skills
Labeling experience
Mechanical aptitude
Preferred Qualifications
Tow motor experience
5-7 years in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication skills
Experience with industrial sorting camera equipment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Constant standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting
2 Continually lifting and moving up to 50 pound boxes
WORKING CONDITIONS
Hard working surfaces for standing and walking
Temperature variations within plant environment based on season
Continual exposure to above 85db
