We are currently seeking a Machine Operator position for our Pearl River, LA plant on an early morning shift. Safely operate heavy equipment to transport raw materials or finished product throughout the facility. Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations. Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance. Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators. Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned. Perform all necessary work area inspections and document discrepancies. This includes any heavy equipment checklist/inspections Be able to operate front end loader / skid steer Perform all tasks in a safe manner which includes wearing proper personal protective equipment and follow safety regulations established by this company Keep water pumped running to maintain fresh water to the plant Grease and inspect the plant Maintain the scales clean Keep tail pulley and catwalk cleaned on stockpile belts Keep all above areas clean Grease equipment in all areas of production What you will need: Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance. Positive, Team-based attitude. The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required. The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy). On the job training Ability to operate front end loader / bobcat Working Conditions and physical environment: While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
