What are you going to do?

As a machine operator, you will work in the GKM (corrugated cardboard machine) department. In the Corrugated Cardboard Machine department, corrugated cardboard sheets are produced from paper rolls in various types and qualities. The quality produced depends on customer demand. The corrugated cardboard sheets that are produced are eventually printed and die-cut into final products by the Processing department.

The Corrugated Cardboard Machine department operates on a 3-shift system. You and your team are responsible for the qualitative and quantitative production of the corrugated cardboard machine. As a machine operator, it is important that you can work independently on a part of the corrugated cardboard machine according to the prevailing standards of quantity and quality within a short period of time (2 to 3 months). Because you have the capabilities to operate all machine parts of the corrugated cardboard machine, you continuously have opportunities for growth and new challenges in your work.

Your tasks and responsibilities further include:

  • Checking the availability of necessities (paper, tape, glue, etc.);
  • Preparing the installation by adjusting machine parts (glue supply, braking, glue roller gap, etc.) according to procedures;
  • Monitoring the process (visually and from the screen information);
  • Performing standard measurements (including viscosity measurements);
  • Detecting quality deviations and abnormal values, making corrections within control limits;
  • Detecting deviations and malfunctions in the installation;
  • Performing minor repairs (such as refilling the oil level) and resolving minor process disturbances;
  • Assisting with maintenance work;
  • Recording (production) data on control lists/forms.

In addition, you are also responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the machines. You ensure that the machines continue to function properly and perform preventive maintenance. You also ensure that the work environment remains clean and tidy, so that work can be done safely and efficiently.
