Role Overview

Could you be our next Encapsulation Machine Operator? Jetpack is looking for an Encapsulation

Machine Operator to join the team!

In this role, you will be responsible for operation of the encapsulation machines, ensuring specifications

are being met, SOPs are followed, setup of the machine, organizing work area, and cleaning of the

machine in the manufacturing department.

Machine Operator will report directly to the Supervisor of manufacturing to ensure all products are

manufactured to meet customer expectations. Work in concert with the Supervisors, Leads, and the

Manager of other areas/departments to ensure products are manufactured to specifications. Will help

keep Manufacturing Manager/Supervisor aware of issues that require attention from management.

This position will require good communication skills, initiative, self-discipline, good time management

skills, willingness to work with others, self-starter, and regular and predictable communication with all

department managers and staff. This position will require accurate completion of paperwork. Regular

and predictable attendance and participation in various production meetings are required.

This is a Full-time on-site position located in Akron, Ohio.

Schedule is Monday to Friday 2:00PM to 10:00PM

What You Will Do

• Promote food safety and quality awareness throughout the organization.
• Ensure materials from previous jobs are taken way and put back in the proper location.
• Thoroughly clean, sanitize and organize workspaces and shared facility areas as directed to
  
  

maintain an efficient and high-quality manufacturing operation and environment.

• Retrieve, stage, accurately verify formulas and lot numbers, and document ingredients used in
  
  

Capsule batches.

• Set-up of equipment for production and ensuring documented parameters are followed.
• Operate Capsule equipment according to the Master Batch Record to produce high quality
  
  

product in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

• Complete and submit prescribed daily and/or weekly checklists of key facility equipment and
  
  

utilities to ensure consistent and effective operation of manufacturing processes.

• Responsible to report any and all, major or minor food safety problems to personnel with
  
  

authority to initiate action.

• Assist other manufacturing employees, as needed.
• Any training deemed necessary direct from management, or directly from the company.
• Perform any other tasks or duties as deemed necessary by management.
  
  

What You Can Bring

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Creative problem solver preferred.
• Machine operator experience (preferred)
• Mechanical skills preferred.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and duties in a timely manner.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Organizational Skills - Strong attention to detail and follow-up.
• Must be able to read and write in a neat and accurate manner.
