We are seeking
Software Engineer who wish to accelerate their skills and focus on tackling the most difficult challenges of the US Government, in one of the most exciting areas of the mission available. Requirements
What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work!)
Your role will include being tapped into for designing, developing, and sustaining pipelines that
enable machine-learning model training as well as large scale inference in a Kubernetes-based environment. Development of data-aware model training pipelines to, Kubernetes-based inference pipelines that compliantly handle in-flight data, and maintaining custom metrics to enable tuning of running pipelines.
You will get to work with cutting edge systems which might include (but are likely not limited to) processing intensive analytics (remember, this is HPC), novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets (again, HPC!), real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems which incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring. All being critical to the success of the customer and the overall mission at large.
Required Skills
– Experience using the
Linux CLI
– Experience developing with
Python
– Data processing workflows and ETL solutions such as
Spark, and/or Dask
– Developing and deploying containerized applications
– Writing and deploying
Kubernetes resources
– Writing and deploying
Helm charts
Position Desired Skills
– Experience developing with
Go
– Experience with CI/CD concepts & implementations (
Gitlab,
Flux CD, etc)
– Experience working with, and debugging,
GPU-enabled applications
– Experience with Policy Management Tools such as
Kyverno
– Experience using Imagine Builder Tools for
Go such as
Ko
– Experience using a machine-learning framework (
PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc)
– Experience with other ML pipelines/frameworks like
KubeFlow,
NeMo,
PyTorch Lightning
– Experience with metrics and monitoring tools such as
Prometheus and
Grafana
– Experience with the
Atlassian suite of tools
Qualifications
– (5) years’ experience
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
