ML Engineer (Weather/DL/Meteorology), $150,000-250,000, San Francisco

ML Engineer sought for a fast-growth, well-funded startup who are building AI models to understand and shape weather conditions. This is a really exciting opportunity for an ML Engineer with a passion for the Geospatial world to join a talented team who have a passion for solving one of the most important problems for humanity. You will be joining as an ML engineer and building some of the most advanced general physics intelligence models within the weather/meteorology space.

As an ML Engineer, you will work across the full ML stack implementing novel model architectures & training algorithms and ideally have experience within deep learning. The ML Engineer will build data pipelines & train infrastructure for multimodal datasets as well as having the chance to stay up to date on research within the space.

Skills sought:

• Strong experience as an ML Engineer - experience shipping DL modeling to production, including data preparation and modeling experiements
• Bonus points for deep learning or computer vision experience
• Ideally looking for specific experience within weather/meteorology) – training state of the art AI weather models
• Proficient with PyTorch or lightning data loader and map-style data sets
• Shipped DL models to production: modelling experiments, metrics etc.
• Experienced at training models & understanding experiments results
• Bonus points for familiarity with distributed training & modelling techniques
