Total Compensation: $350,000–$500,000 per year, comprising:

  • Base Salary: $220,000–$300,000
  • Equity: $100,000–$150,000 in RSUs annually (4-year vesting)
  • Performance Bonus: $30,000–$50,000 (milestone-based)
  • Total Cash (Base + Bonus): $250,000–$350,000


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy advanced machine learning algorithms, focusing on areas like natural language processing, computer vision, generative AI, and reinforcement learning.
  • Build scalable ML pipelines to process large datasets, train models efficiently, and deploy them seamlessly in production.
  • Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to integrate ML solutions into real-world applications.
  • Conduct experiments to optimize model performance, applying creative approaches to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Deliver clean, secure, and scalable code that upholds the highest engineering standards.


Tech Stack

  • Programming: Python, high-performance, and modular code.
  • ML Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, and JAX for flexible, interoperable model development; scikit-learn for traditional ML tasks, ensuring no overlap in functionality.
  • Data Processing: Apache Spark, Dask, and Ray for distributed data handling, selected for their complementary strengths in large-scale processing.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (SageMaker, EMR, Lambda) as the primary platform, with optional support for Google Cloud and Azure, unified under a consistent deployment framework.
  • Orchestration: Kubernetes, Airflow, and Argo Workflows, each chosen for distinct, non-redundant roles in automation and scalability.

Ideal Background

  • Expert proficiency in Python and leading ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and JAX.
  • Deep knowledge of machine learning algorithms, including deep learning, generative models, and reinforcement learning.
  • Hands-on experience with big data tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Ray) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Strong software engineering skills, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Research contributions, such as publications at leading conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR) or significant open-source projects.
  • Expertise in MLOps tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or TFX for managing the full model lifecycle.
  • Advanced knowledge of NLP (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers) or computer vision (e.g., OpenCV, Detectron2).
  • Experience optimizing models for edge devices or high-performance computing environments (e.g., NVIDIA GPUs).
