My client is a pioneering medical device and AI company who are seeking an expert machine learning engineer with expertise in medical imaging and diagnosis to join their dynamic team. They will assist with pushing the company forward with cutting edge research and development.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement machine learning models for medical imaging applications, including classification, segmentation, and anomaly detection.
• Preprocess and analyse large-scale medical imaging datasets (e.g., MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound) to optimize data quality and model performance.
• Create deep learning architectures such as CNNs, GANs and Transformers, specifically for medical image analysis.
• Deploy and optimize machine learning models for applications, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Apply the best practices to improve existing solutions and keep up to date with the latest research in AI, machine learning and medical imaging.
• Keep track of model development, system integration processes and experimental results.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree and/or Phd in related field – i.e: Biomedical Engineering, Electrical engineering, computer science.
• 3+ years of experience in Machine learning and/or deep learning, specifically focussing on medical imaging.
• Experience in medical imaging formats ( DICOM, NIfTI) and related processing tools ( ITK, Simple ITK, OpenCV).
• Familiarity with Python Libraries ( Pandas, NymPy, SciPy Etc).
• Proficiency with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOPS practices.
• Excellent collaborative mindset, communicational skills as well as problem solving skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with explainable AI (XAI) methods for medical applications.
• Experience with regulatory considerations in medical AI ( FDA, CE Marking)
• Prior knowledge and exposure to federated learning and privacy-preserving AI techniques.
