Suncoast Post Tension, Ltd., a Keller company, is an established post-tension and rebar manufacturing company that has been in business for over 30 years. We are looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team in our office located in Houston, TX. This is a full-time permanent placement.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Managing the inhouse fleet of delivery trucks and pickup trucks
• Purchasing and maintaining vehicles for deliveries
• Registering and licensing vehicles
• Finding ways to cut costs and maximize profits
• Selecting carriers for transportation and negotiating rates and contracts with carriers for 3 rd party shipments to and from our facilities
• Responding to and resolving complaints and problems
• Keeping up-to-date on shipping carriers, routes and rates and any changes to them
• Developing and implementing fleet management policies and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Overseeing the maintenance and repair of all company vehicles
• Managing vehicle inventory and ensuring that all vehicles are properly registered and insured
• Planning and scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency
• Managing and tracking fuel consumption and expenses
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  
  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent leadership skills, including goal-setting, motivation and training
• Expert knowledge of best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and other industry practices
• Basic math and data analysis skills
• Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software
• Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed
• Ability to set and monitor a budget
• Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities
• Keen attention to detail
  
  

Additional Information

Salary Range : $100,000 - $115,000 annually

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant internal and external experience, knowledge, skills, scope of job, geographical location or other factors permitted by law
