• Collaborate with Freight forwarders, CHAs , Local transport agencies and Suppliers to collect goods and deliver at specified ports /airports as per set SOPs and terms
• Have a good understanding of local Customs and regulatory laws & vet related documents towards zero loss of duties and nil demurrage and penalties .
• Oversee inbound and outbound movements and own the time lines committed.
• Optimise transport routes & identify cost saving opportunities
• Stay updated with regulatory changes , tariff changes and customs duties
• Coordinate with internal stake holders with respect to agreed deliverables
• Ensure smooth supply chain via risk management and conflict managements.
• Timely evaluation of service providers deliveries and develop alternative service providers
  
  

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential

• Experience in International & Domestic Logistics, Customs and regulatory affairs
• Degree in SCM / Foreign trade/Logistics management
• Ability to speak, read and write English and Chinese to communicate with overseas stake holders in UK and India
• Good understanding of Customs Regulations, Tariffs, HS codes , International shipping documentation .
• Willing to work across different time zones to connect with Service Providers ,Agencies and Internal stake holders.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks and assignments in fast pace .
• Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills.
• Should have liaising experience with Govt agencies and demonstrate skills to handle situations at various levels. Desired
