Team Introduction
As the Local IT Operations and Infrastructure Support Specialist /Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring efficient IT operations across Malaysia and Thailand. You will serve as a key liaison between the local teams and the regional IT office in Singapore, facilitating seamless communication and promoting effective collaboration. Your role will encompass monitoring daily IT operations, managing third-party engagements, conducting audits, and supporting cross-border business initiatives. You will also play a pivotal role in enhancing IT processes and governance, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing specialized regional support.
Locational IT Operations Management:
- Monitor and manage daily IT operations across Malaysia and Thailand to ensure consistent system performance.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and address incidents in real-time.
- Facilitate communication and resolve technical issues
Localized Third-party and Project Management:
- Collaborate with local third-party service providers to ensure effective Level 1 support management.
- Oversee project timelines, resources, and budgets to deliver IT projects on time and in alignment with business objectives.
Business Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as a communication link between stakeholders and technical teams in both countries.
- Ensure clear understanding and alignment of project objectives, considering cultural and language differences.
Location-specific Audit and Risk Management:
- Conduct internal audits and manage external audits, ensuring compliance with local regulations in Malaysia and Thailand.
- Perform risk assessments to identify and address local regulatory and project-related risks.
- IT Governance and Process Enhancement:
- Enhance IT processes and governance to improve efficiency and compliance
- Tailor processes to fit the regulatory requirements and business practices of both Malaysia and Thailand.
•Support for Cross-Border Business Initiatives:
- Provide IT project support for business initiatives spanning Malaysia and Thailand.
- Ensure IT operations across both regions align with and contribute to achieving the strategic goals
Ad Hoc and Specialized Regional Support:
- Offer specialized support for regional-specific issues, particularly focusing on business in Thailand.
- Manage knowledge management system post-support activities, ensuring knowledge transfer and optimization across both locations.
Job description
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7 to 12 years of experience in IT operations and infrastructure support, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills in English and a proficiency in local languages (Thai) is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of local regulatory requirements and compliance in Malaysia and Thailand.
- Ability to handle audits, perform risk assessments, and align IT processes with business objectives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues in real-time. Willingness to travel within the region as required.
