Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Position Summary

Reporting to the MRF Supervisor, the Loader Operator will be responsible for operating a front loader and other heavy equipment to move materials within the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). The ideal candidate will follow all safety, health, and environmental standards while contributing to the company's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety and Compliance: Operate heavy equipment safely in compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Equipment Operation: Transport bulk materials, load/unload waste, and feed conveyors using the front loader.
• Team Leadership: Under supervision, delegate tasks and set daily deadlines, ensuring the smooth operation of the team.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily equipment inspections, document findings, and report any malfunctions.
• Collaboration: Work in coordination with other yard activities, following hand or audio signals.
• Customer Service: Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues and customers.
• Reporting: Immediately report unsafe situations, equipment deficiencies, or service issues to the Supervisor.
• Training: Attend mandatory training, meetings, and safety briefings.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably with a front-end loader.
• Skills:
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform detailed inspections and follow safety protocols.
• Solid waste industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

• Ability to sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to operate equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials as necessary.
