The firm is currently seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Legal Assistant to support its expanding team of litigators. This is a dynamic opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and excels in organization, discretion, and proactive support.

About the Role

As a Civil Litigation Legal Assistant, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive legal administrative support to a team of litigation lawyers
  • Draft, format, and manage legal documentation, including pleadings, motion records, factums, and affidavits, ensuring compliance with court requirements
  • Coordinate physical and electronic court filings; liaise with courts, tribunals, and regulatory authorities
  • Maintain and manage litigation calendars, tracking court appearances, filing deadlines, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Assist with document management and production, including e-Discovery and organizing extensive case files
  • Interact professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment at all times

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant in civil litigation; experience with regulatory or disciplinary tribunals is an asset
  • Strong understanding of Ontario court rules and procedures, particularly the Rules of Civil Procedure and relevant tribunal guidelines
  • Proficiency in legal document management systems and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Outstanding attention to detail, time management, and multitasking capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
