📍 Oakland | Civil Litigation (plaintiff) | $28-$39/hr
- HYBRID AFTER 90 days (2 days in office, 3 from home!)
Are you a skilled litigation assistant with fluency in Spanish and a passion for trial work? Join a dynamic legal team where your expertise will directly impact high-stakes civil litigation cases from intake to trial.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Spanish/English translation support during client meetings, depositions, mediations, and trial prep
* File and serve legal documents in State, Federal, and Appellate Courts (a plus)
* Independently draft complaints, discovery requests/responses, motions, and mediation briefs
* Prepare legal documents with minimal supervision
* Manage and organize electronic case files with precision and confidentiality
What We're Looking For:
✔ Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking)
✔ Deep knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and deadlines
✔ Strong drafting skills: complaints, discovery, motions, and briefs
✔ Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
✔ High attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple cases and deadlines
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
💡 Note: All candidates will be tested on litigation knowledge and writing ability.
Compensation:
💼 $28-$39/hour (equivalent to $58,240-$81,120 annually), based on experience
