Summary
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Linux-based VoIP servers supporting large-scale telecom operations.
Set up and configuration of Highly available platforms using Corosync/Pacemaker/DRDB
Deployment and configuration of systems using Llibvirt / KVM
Deploy, configure, and optimize, Kamailio, Asterisk and FreeSWITCH in production environments.
Implement and maintain MySQL replication strategies (master-slave and multi-master setups).
Troubleshoot configuration, call quality issues, latency, and signaling anomalies.
Automate routine tasks with scripts and configuration management tools.
Ensure 24/7 uptime and reliability of VoIP infrastructure through proactive monitoring and incident response.
Collaborate with network, NOC, and development teams to support telecom service delivery.
Building of packages and maintaining repositories.
Monitoring and maintenance of co-located hardware.
Required Skills and Experience
6+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator in a telecom or VoIP environment.
Strong working knowledge of Asterisk, Kamailio, and FreeSWITCH.
Solid understanding of Network protocols (DNS, IP, SNMP)
Good understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, SDP) and NAT traversal techniques.
Hands-on experience with MySQL replication and performance tuning.
Writing of database queries to analyse data
Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash); experience with Python or Perl is a plus.
Experience with network tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, iptables) and performance monitoring systems.
Ability to support production systems in a high-availability environment using tools like Icinga, Cacti, Prometheus and Graphana.
Ability to manage and configure email systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with telecom platforms.
Familiarity with cloud hosting environments (AWS, Azure) and virtualization (KVM, Xen VMware).
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
Awareness and experience with Redis.
