RMC is hiring for a Linux System Administrator who will provide Linux based workstation and server support to an RDT&E environment at Patuxent River, MD. The selected applicant will perform a variety of information technology/infrastructure activities, as well as IT inventory management. The selected candidate will need the following skillsets: * Strong understanding of virtual and physical networking configuration. * Strong hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skill sets. * RedHat 7, or higher, Enterprise administration, including workstation and server. * ACAS/Nessus experience or similar vulnerability scanner familiarity. * Provide support for the administration of multiple VMWare ESXi environments across the RDT&E enterprise. * Provide support the virtualization of Linux based virtual machines. * Experience using distributed file systems. * Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in providing tier 1 - tier 3 support to niche SME end users. * Applicant must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and have excellent written and oral communication skills. * Occasional travel is required.
