Position: Linux System Administrator

Location: Initial on-site training in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, then fully remote

Salary: 55,000 - 80,000 EUR per year, depending on experience

About the Role

Are you passionate about installing and supporting complex HPC solutions? Do you enjoy working with Linux-based systems and learning about the latest HPC technologies? We are looking for a Linux System Administrator (HPC) to join our client's System Integration and Support team. This role offers a mix of technical support, implementation, and consulting, with the opportunity to work remotely after an initial 3-6 month training period.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site support for HPC systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement storage and GPU cluster installations and test and validate new PC cluster hardware.
• Perform technical support, error analysis, and process optimization.
• Act as a liaison between customers, support teams, and sales and document solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree in computer science, IT, electronic engineering, or equivalent certifications.
• Strong experience in Linux/Unix-based hardware and software environments.
• Hands-on experience in technical customer support.
• Knowledge of storage systems such as Lustre, GPFS, BeeGFS.
• LPIC certification is an advantage.
• Driver’s license (class B).
• Fluent in German and proficient in English.
• EU citizenship required due to customer requirements.
