We are seeking a Linux Patching Engineer to work with various clients at our delivery center in Mexico. Our mission at Apex Systems is providing Insights that Inspire. In this role you will help achieve that mission by giving our clients consultative guidance and technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Execute patching using established tooling and playbooks.
• Maintain compliance to organizational patching standards.
• Participate in cross-training on both OpenStack and OpenShift.
• Collaborate with the Principal Advisor for escalations and guidance.
• Gain familiarity with Kubernetes concepts and existing automation tools.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Linux administration/patching support.
• Good attitude and willing to learn internal tooling.
• Kubernetes administration (nice to have).
• Comfortable with containerization concepts and Kubernetes paradigms.
• Strong in execution and operations, not expected to design systems.
• Experience with OpenShift/OpenStack (nice to have).
• Ability to follow documented patching processes and troubleshoot basic issues.
