ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux Engineer to join our team onsite in Norfolk, Virginia. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Provide technical remote and onsite support and guidance to NCTE Range end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system configurations and network connectivity for Range POR systems
Ability to work with Domain Name System (DNS) and
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Windows/Linux environments and familiarity with Active Directory in Windows environments
Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processes
Strong understanding of Linux networking, patching, and operating systems, especially Red Hat 6,7,8 and 9, as well as Linux filesystems and Logical Volume Management (LVM)
Up to 25% travel
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant IT systems experience
Experience in systems administration, with proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments
Must have Security+ CE certification
Must have VMware, Windows, or Linux Operating System (OS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Clearance Requirements
US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and printer
Be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
