Summary

Infosys is seeking to hire a Linux Administrator. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Server admins and Subject Matter Experts. The consultant needs to maintain best practices and collaborates with the architecture and application teams to set the technical vision and target architecture

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Malvern, PA or, Kalamazoo, MI or Hartford, CT or Raleigh, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.

• Hands on experience on Linux Administration (RHEL/Ubuntu/Cent OS/ Oracle Enterprise Linux).

• Knowledge on Unix, Cloud (AWS/Azure).

• Hands on experience on installing new Linux OS, releases, configure, upgrade, patch, and secure servers. They install, patch installations, upgrade, and maintain Cisco/Dell/HP - based system hardware and software.

• Experience on Kernel, Patches up-gradation and virtualization of Linux servers.

• Basic knowledge in (Scripting bash/Python/Perl), Ansible Basic knowledge.

• Coordinate hardware maintenance with application and development teams.

• Make recommendations for hardware upgrades and research new hardware solutions

• Maintain physical and logical diagrams, Server Asset Inventory of hardware environment.

• Experience on User and File system administration and performance tuning.

• Troubleshoot OS related, Kernel related, server crash related issues.

• Install/maintain patch, administer and monitor the systems.

• Resolve server issues & Provide Root cause Analysis.

• Install recommended vulnerability fixes on server as per RHEL suggestion.

• Provide recommendations for improvements and Proactive Server administration.

• Manage infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools. (SolarWinds/Nagios/24x7)

• Knowledge on Server decommission process.

• Coordinate and implement software maintenance with application teams.

• Support and participate in disaster recovery drills and recovery if required.

• ITIL Process knowledge Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management and Performance Management.

•Knowledge and hands on experience in Open stack.
