Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Line Cook at The Curator's Cafe, located in Joliet, IL. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, ensuring the highest quality and presentation of dishes, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, and collaborating with the kitchen team to meet service standards. The role also includes maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, managing inventory, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and presentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Prior experience in a culinary role is an advantage
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
