In This Role

• Operate on a Raymond order picker in a narrow, wire-guided warehouse, ensuring safe and efficient material handling


• Use RF scanners to accurately pick and verify inventory items for order fulfillment


• Unload incoming shipments, inspect for damage, and verify contents against purchase orders or packing slips to ensure accuracy


• Perform routine maintenance checks on warehouse equipment, including forklifts and order pickers, and report any malfunctions or safety issues


• Safely place inventory into racking locations using RF scanners, maintaining organization and accuracy


• Follow SOPs to ensure inventory quality and stay updated on procedure changes


• Perform routine checks to identify and address quality issues


• Meet productivity targets while managing resources effectively


• Document and report inventory discrepancies using the internal corrective action reporting (ICAR) process and ensure accurate documentation

The Ideal Person

• 2+ years of experience operating forklift equipment, specifically an order picker


• High school diploma or GED required


• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day, and maneuver/lift up to 225 lbs with assistance


• Continuously walk, stand, stoop, bend, push, and reach in a warehouse environment


• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and communication skills


• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team


• Ability to accurately identify and process items on various paperwork, including customer orders, labels, manifest documents, packing lists, stock receipts, and bills of lading


• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel


• Required to wear steel-toed boots/shoes at all times during work hours


• Willing and able to work overtime as needed
