What you’ll learn & achieve:

UL Solutions is seeking a Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) Practitioner to support UL Solutions LCA services. You will help advance customer product or system environmental impacts in a transparent manner. You will develop full LCA’s per ISO Standards 14040 and ISO 14044, including data management, comparative analytics, reporting, third party reviews and/or reduction strategies. In addition, you will support LCA modeling development and client project management for LCA services. You will have an interest in developing your knowledge of LCA standards and methodologies, comparative analytics, regulatory and voluntary drivers, reduction strategies and able to perform full LCA reporting. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute to UL Solutions expanding LCA services team and services, perform client facing work and scale solutions to help customers evaluate and reduce their environmental impact.



  • Perform LCA as a practitioner and/or verification of client LCAs and other LCA products including EPD and PCF tools.
  • Based on results, provide detailed client facing reports with clear recommendations.
  • Answer client questions and concerns; document communications and flag issues as appropriate.
  • Complete assigned research tasks independently and summarize as needed.
  • Execute projects independently within deadlines and profitability targets, including tracking of hours and budget spent on projects, working with manager to ensure timeliness and project profitability.



What makes you a great fit:


Minimum Qualifications

  • Language requirement: Fluent in Mandarin and English
  • Bachelors Degree in scientific discipline or engineering and
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a position requiring LCA modeling and work involving extensive quantitative data analysis
  • Working experience analyzing both experimental and modeled data sets
  • Working experience modeling LCA in an LCA software like SimaPro, Gabi, OpenLCA etc.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) and associated software
  • Interest in Corporate Sustainability and/or Environmental Social Governance (ESG) reporting frameworks, including regulatory frameworks relative to Scope 3
