MEP Engineering Project Manager

Position Overview

The MEP Engineering Project Manager will oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong technical background in mechanical engineering and project management, with a focus on design and implementation of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage MEP projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct mechanical design calculations, estimates, and develop comprehensive project plans.
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for the design and documentation of MEP systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
• Engage in business development activities, including cross-selling services and acquiring new business opportunities.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and best practices in engineering.
  
  

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in MEP engineering & project management, with a primary focus on mechanical systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required, Master's degree preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for MEP design.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and design principles.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Business development experience in the engineering sector is a plus.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience with plumbing and electrical systems is preferred.
• Ability to be on-site in Austin office at least 3 days a week.
