LC State invites applications for the position of Library Section Coordinator.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $49,743
Degree Required: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Required Qualifications
Experience with budget oversight
Knowledge of library policies, procedures, and industry best practices
Previous supervisory experience
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with an Academic Library.
Experience with budget oversight, purchasing, and financial tracking in alignment with the State of Idaho policies and procedures
Knowledge of student worker supervision and circulation services
Experience with interlibrary loan processes and systems
Familiarity with maintaining library facilities and equipment
Knowledge of data reporting and collaboration with library leadership
Knowledge of Colleague, WebNow, and F9.
Responsibilities
Budget & Financial Oversight: Monitor library budgets, purchasing, and financial tracking in compliance with State of Idaho policies and procedures.
Circulation & Student Supervision: Assist with supervising student workers in circulation services, providing training and support to ensure smooth daily operations and strong public service.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL): Facilitate interlibrary loan services, coordinating borrowing and lending through established platforms and ensuring timely fulfillment.
Facilities & Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the care and upkeep of library spaces and equipment, addressing maintenance issues as they arise to maintain a functional and welcoming environment.
Data Reporting & Collaboration: Compile operational data and contribute to strategic planning through regular collaboration with library leadership.
Cataloging & Processing: Perform original and copy cataloging of library materials; process new acquisitions to ensure they are shelf-ready and properly integrated into the collection.
Other Duties as Assigned: Adapt to dynamic library needs by supporting various roles and responsibilities beyond the core duties.
Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
