About the Role

As a Legal Content Manager and heading up a practice group for Practical Guidance Australia, you will drive the continuous improvement and commercial success of a suite of Practical Guidance modules. You will help set the content strategy for your portfolio and manage a team of Legal Writers preparing and maintaining practically-focused content as well as work with external specialist authors. You will also provide support to our in-market teams to help build brand awareness and influence market share across clients and stakeholders.


This role would suit someone looking for full-time but might also suit someone interested in 4.5 days per week. Regular in-office time is preferable, either Sydney or Melbourne-based, but there is also opportunity to work flexibly and from home. With strong experience as a practising lawyer and leading teams, you will have a solid understanding of the practical processes relevant to legal teams and corporate professionals.


Responsibilities

  • Developing practice group content roadmap driven by commercial strategy and market need
  • Supporting financial success through new content development and budget management
  • Leading and developing a team of engaged and innovative legal writers
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders, staying close to customer needs, and addressing legal trends


Requirements

  • 3+ years PQE
  • Experience in an Australian legal practice role
  • Experience in team leadership and people management
  • Excellent communication and plain-English writing skills
  • Aptitude for building and fostering relationships with a range of diverse clients and local and international stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Experience in Corporate, Banking & Financial Services, M&A or Insolvency & Restructuring areas of law is desirable
