Summary

We are looking for an experienced and efficient Legal Assistant to work with attorney Kiana Mitchell in our fast-paced workers' comp practice. You’ll be responsible for tracking client medical appointments and documents, updating clients about their cases, preparing initial letters of representation and physicians, responding to discovery requests, and preparing various pleadings. This Is Not A Remote Position Compensation: $40,000 - $45,000 yearly Responsibilities: Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently Request medical records and prepare medical summaries Prepare discovery requests and responses Prepare standard motions and memorandum in support under attorney supervision Calendaring client medical appointments and scheduling reminders Maintain medical mileage log for client reimbursements Present monthly earnings reports (1020s) to clients and provide them to adjusters Court runs Qualifications: Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products Must be able to type at least 50 WPM Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks About Company We're hard-working lawyers for hurt workers.
