Legal Office Assistant Role:
The Legal Office Assistant will provide support to one Attorney. While prior experience in a legal setting is not required, the ideal candidate will be proactive, professional, and capable of managing a wide range of administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorney and legal staff
Answer and direct incoming calls and emails professionally and courteously
Greet clients and visitors, assist with intake procedures, and ensure a welcoming office environment
Manage scheduling, coordinate meetings, and maintain attorneys calendars
Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, reports, and legal documents
Organize and maintain both digital and physical filing systems
Perform data entry and assist with client file management, preferably using Clio software
Engage with professionals at opposing counsel’s offices to coordinate paperwork, schedule meetings, and ensure timely communication and follow-up
Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to office policies and procedures
Legal Office Assistant Background Profile:
Minimum 3 years experience working in an office setting required
Experience with Clio or similar legal practice management software a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and general computer literacy
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and delivering exceptional client service
