Description
The Commercial Lease Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining a portfolio of commercial lease agreements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely execution of lease-related activities. This role serves as a key liaison between landlords, tenants, legal teams, and internal departments such as accounting and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, abstract, and interpret commercial lease documents, amendments, renewals, and related agreements.
- Maintain accurate lease data in lease management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or Lucernex).
- Track and process critical dates including rent commencement, lease expirations, renewals, and option notices.
- Ensure accurate rent and expense billing in collaboration with accounting and finance teams.
- Coordinate lease compliance and ensure adherence to lease terms by both landlords and tenants.
- Assist in lease audits and reconciliations, including CAM (Common Area Maintenance), taxes, and insurance.
- Communicate with property owners, landlords, attorneys, and internal departments regarding lease obligations.
- Prepare lease summaries, reports, and analysis as requested by management.
- Support legal and real estate teams in lease negotiations and due diligence processes.
- Stay current with industry practices, local regulations, and internal procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in either the paralegal field or commercial lease administration
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail
- Yardi experience a plus
