Primary Purpose:
The Learning Support Strategist will oversee and lead in the implementation and management of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Section 504 plans and improvement of the Dyslexia program across the district. This role involves collaborating with school staff, parents, and the community to ensure compliance with federal, state, and district policies and regulations, and to support the academic and behavioral success of all students
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree (required)
Valid Texas Teaching Certification (required)
Master's degree in education or related field (preferred)
Texas Mid-Management/Principal Certification (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations for Section 504/Special Education
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze data and implement evidence-based interventions
Knowledge in Dyslexia strategies and supports
Experience:
Minimum of five years teaching experience
Experience with implementation of MTSS, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Section 504, and Dyslexia (preferred)
Special Education Teaching Experience (preferred)

Technical Skills, Responsibilities and Duties

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
* Promote fidelity of MTSS implementation at each phase
* Assist with campus visits to facilitate MTSS framework and services
* Assist with the implementation of Tier II and Tier III interventions
* Provide professional development for teachers and staff on MTSS
* Assist in monitoring and analyzing data (academic, behavioral, and social emotional) to support student progress
* Assisting in the development, review, and updates of Dyslexia curriculum documents
* Collecting, organizing, and disseminating Dyslexia curriculum documents
* Participating in on-going training in Dyslexia instruction
* Ensure compliance with Section 504 regulations
* Develop and conduct specialized trainings for staff
* Provide support for Section 504 processes, including Manifestation Determinations and accommodation requests
* Assist in reviewing and updating district program management systems
Collaboration and Communication:
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support school staff
* Maintain effective communication with school administrators, parents, and the community
