Learning Design Manager
The opportunity
As our Learning Design Manager you’ll will be instrumental in leading the development of best in class learning experiences for Oceania participants. You will manage the design of comprehensive, innovative learning and development solutions within the organiza-tion. This role involves leading a team of instructional designers to recommend and design effective learning structures and effective course content, to ensure learning outcomes align with business objec-tives.
The Learning Design Manager is expected to remain abreast of the latest industry trends and advance-ments in training methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development throughout their team, Talent Development (TD) and the organization.
This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Consult with internal stakeholders and end-users to determine learning needs and objectives and incorporate learning objectives and metrics into all programs for insights and ROI
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders ensuring there is alignment between the business strategy and learning priorities
- Collaborate with the LXI team, BP Learning Leads, Pillar Leads, Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to provide guidance on industry design best practice and optimal solution design
- Allocate design work to the team in accordance with priorities, resourcing capacity and capability, and monitor project plans, risks and issues
- With the design team, design and develop learning experiences (face to face programs, virtual pro-grams, E-Learning modules and videos)
What We Look For
To be considered for this role you must have the following skills
- Advanced instructional design expertise leading the entire process end-to-end - including analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of programs
- Demonstrated proficiency with contemporary learning technologies, multimedia tools and collaborative authoring platforms
- Ability to lead and manage multiple complex projects in fast-paced environments
- Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Proven experience leading a project team of designers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to tailor communications for different channels and audiences.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or Tertiary Degree in Education or Training, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years leading an instructional design team
