Job title: Learner & Stakeholder Engagement Advisor (Employability)

Salary: £22,592 to £27,248 depending on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full time
Location: Based in Nottingham with travel across the East Midlands (e.g. job centres, referral partners and Employers)

Main purpose:
To identify potential learners for training programmes via a variety of methods including engagement with job centres, referral partners and direct applicants.
To carry out screening and high quality IAG of learners to ensure suitability before enrolling learners onto training programmes.
Engage with employers to identify recruitment needs and provide a SWAP service.
To provide an effective and efficient customer service function to our external and internal customers, including learners, outside organisations and staff. To ensure that Equality & Diversity practices are followed throughout the day-to-day activities, especially when dealing with learners and taking telephone calls.
Key responsibilities
- To proactively engage with learners for employability programmes across the East Midlands. Working to monthly targets of numbers of learners to be referred for IAG and enrolment to ensure classes sizes are maintained at target levels.
- To attend recruitment events and sessions at referral partner premises to attract and engage learners including job centres, careers advice hubs etc.
- To advertise Access programmes using a range of channels to stimulate applications including the Access Training website, social media, Local Job Centres, Indeed, referral partners and other appropriate sources, to ensure learner recruitment targets are achieved.
- Put course details/vacancies on our website and monitor.
- To conduct interviews by telephone and in person, to pre-screen learners across our various programme offers.
- To support in ensuring learners are fully prepared for the first day of their programme and / or to attend their interviews with employers.
- Complete enrolment paperwork with learners across all programmes electronically.
- To develop, regularly review and update learner application processes and any associated website content to ensure continuous improvement.
- To follow up all unsuccessful applicants to provide information / support / signpost to other vacancies or programmes / IAG / other sources of help.
- To contribute to the generation of new opportunities / business in general and to participate in marketing activities for Access Training to generate new vacancies.
- To answer external and internal telephone and email enquiries, dealing with them when appropriate or referring elsewhere when necessary.
- Add learners to our in-house system, with any associated paperwork and notations.
- To deal with telephone calls from employers/referral partners regarding their course/learner and act upon their queries.
- Call referral partners to keep in touch regarding learners progress or programme.
- Make calls to employers for possible placements or vacancies for learners.
- To maintain a tracker and log all comments on learner and employer leads on staff site.
- Set up maths and English diagnostics.
- Run prior learning records for learners.
- To assist and support other members of the Employability and Engagement departments.
- Produce weekly reports for submission to the Employability Contracts Manager
Other duties
- To contribute to the generation of new opportunities / business in general and to participate in marketing activities for all Access Trainings activities.
- To follow company procedures and policies including equality of opportunity, health and safety and safeguarding.
- To undertake any other duties/projects relevant to the post.
