The Role


As a Lead UI/UX Designer at Valus, you will be responsible for delivering world-class digital experiences across multiple web and mobile client projects. You will own the design process end-to-end, from discovery and research to prototyping and final delivery, ensuring seamless and impactful customer journeys.


This role requires a strong focus on hands-on design excellence, project leadership, and direct client collaboration to achieve measurable outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the full-cycle UI/UX design process across multiple client projects.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and customer journey mapping to inform design decisions.
  • Create and maintain scalable design systems across products and platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and client stakeholders to align design outcomes with business goals.
  • Deliver intuitive, elegant, and user-centered design solutions across mobile and web platforms.
  • Manage design priorities across multiple engagements, ensuring consistent quality and timelines.
  • Present and defend design work to internal and client teams with clarity and rationale.
  • Stay informed on the latest design trends, user behavior patterns, and emerging technologies.

  • Delivery of high-quality, user-centered designs that meet client objectives and enhance customer experience.
  • Positive client feedback on design quality, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Successful ownership of multiple concurrent projects with consistent delivery standards.
  • Ability to demonstrate the business and user impact of delivered design solutions.


Preferred Skills & Experience


  • 7+ years of hands-on UI/UX design experience, including product ownership.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing live apps, web platforms, and measurable user/business outcomes.
  • Expertise with Figma (preferred), Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar tools.
  • Solid foundation in UX research methodologies, customer journey mapping, interaction design, and responsive web/mobile design.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive frameworks, and mobile-first thinking.
  • Experience working independently and prioritizing effectively in fast-paced, multi-client environments.
  • Based in or available to work within the Eastern European Time Zone.
