Your Impact
As a Lead Training Consultant, you will act as a member of the Learning Services team and as an individual trainer to deliver OpenText product training to customers and partners.
As a member of the Learning Services team, you may also perform training consulting, such as Training Needs Assessments, and the design, development, and delivery of tailored custom training solutions to meet the needs of our clients. You will also assist the Curriculum Development team in the design, development, updating, and review of standard course materials.
What The Role Offers
- Deliver instructor-led courses, both in-class and online, consisting of lectures, live demonstrations, answering questions, and assisting students during exercises.
- Work with clients, both on-site and online, to design, develop, and deliver customized OpenText product training solutions.
- Assists in the design and production of course materials, exercises, and examples for OpenText products using various software packages such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Captivate, Adobe FrameMaker, and similar software
- Manage the setup and configuration of software in the classroom at OpenText sites, customer sites, and regional training facilities.
- Researches new product functionality and associated training requirements
- Other duties as assigned
What You Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree, College diploma, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Superior interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Solid understanding of Internet concepts and use
- Strong knowledge of content management software
- Strong knowledge of HTML, Java, C++, or a similar object-oriented language
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts
- Minimum five years of previous adult education experience, preferably related to software solutions
- Minimum five years of training course design and development experience, preferably related to software solutions
- Prior experience with OpenText software would be an asset
Please note, that this is a hybrid role at our Reading location, which includes a requirement for occassional travel to customer sites.
