Summary

Lead Test Automation Engineer


Test Automation Engineer works in scrum team/squad which is developing Next Generation of ecommerce services. We are looking for a detail-oriented person with creative thinking. The ideal candidate will be experienced in planning, developing, and executing comprehensive test.

You will work closely with the development to understand the applications features and architecture, to develop test cases, to ensure that all levels of the system architecture are thoroughly tested before releasing into production.


You will lead the QA community, sharing your knowledge and experience with other test automation engineers.


Main responsibilities:


  • Take over the leadership role for the cross-team QA Community
  • Supporting QAs in communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Helping to set up proper workload assignments and respective priorities
  • Defining and maintainingtest coverage KPIs
  • Supporting development teams in terms of testing
  • Preparing test plans and test scenarios
  • Design, build and maintain automated tests
  • Reduce the backlog of manual regression tests
  • Improve current automation practices by introducing best practices
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing in the areas where there is an absence of any automation
  • Actively analyse and improve stories/tests
  • Taking part in code review for automation tests to help improve team’s knowledge and to suggest improvements,
  • Contributing in the QA Community of Practice to share the development principles and best practices


Qualifications & skills:


  • 5+ years proven track record in test automation preferably in an international and multicultural environment working in classing and virtual teams
  • 1+ years proven experience in leading QA Communities or managing QA Teams
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) for software development and DevOps
  • Experience with Performance testing
  • Programming experience with Cucumber, Selenium and Java
  • Experience with API testing and/or frontend testing
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with BDD and Gherkin driven agile methodology
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing theory and software development process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with both technical and non-technical personnel
