Summary

Job Description

Technical Services is a support service for Institutional Business, Retail Sales, and the entire Supply Chain. It also to acts as a bridge between the Refinery and Marketing Divisions to troubleshoot problems experienced by the customers and increase awareness of the products for effectively servicing the customers. This role is responsible for maintaining the quality of the product at refinery stage till the time product reaches the end customer.

Another major aspect of this role is to identify new Business Development opportunities including introduction of new product lines from Refinery and identification of sales channels for the said products.

This role will also involve scanning for new opportunities in Renewable Energy space.

ACTIVITIES

1 Marketing Quality Operations

  • Operations at supply locations
  • Quality Inspections at ROs and Supply locations
  • Oversee and manage Pali and Vadinar Marketing Labs


1 New Product Development

  • Regular assessment of market scenario
  • Study new markets & opportunities
  • Develop technical specs for new products & offerings in the market
  • New product trials with major customers


2 Business Forums and Industry

  • Industry forums
  • Certifications
  • Other oil company tie-ups


3 Statutory Requirements

  • Government Departments
  • Changes in statutes and procedures
  • Future regulations


4 Manage infrastructure projects for IB business

  • RCD, Fuelling Infrastructure & consumer pump Maintenance
  • Monthly inspection of all RCDs and other important installations
  • Visit to prospective customers of consumer pumps for assessing their requirement


7 Others

  • Additive evaluation for retail trade
  • Troubleshooting Customer Complaints


9 Process development and competency enhancement

  • Seek trainings and development programs for improvement of technical and behavioural skills


10 Business Development

  • Support in preparation of Business case for presentation to the management on new business development opportunities
  • Plan and execute strategies for new product development and handover to the sales team


Qualifications

B. Tech Chemical/Mechanical Engineering/ MBA
