Lead System Administrator (SA) for Linux
Candidate must have or be able to obtain an ADP I or ADP II clearance

Key Tasks
Come join a growing and dynamic company supporting a large, prime contract! DCCA is looking to find an Operating System (OS) Administrator for Linux (Windows experience helpful). The candidate will be a self-starter able to install and configure the OS, resolve team issues via internal help desk tickets.
Required Skills
- Ten (10) years of experience as an OS SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience with LINUX environments
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years providing operations support.
- Must have prior experience as a team lead of SAs.
- Ability to work with 3 rd party AWS hosting team.
- Ability to conduct formal and ad hoc system training for other SAs.
- Ability to configure Linux servers from scratch, including disk layout and partitioning, operating system installation, RedHat and package configuration.
- Demonstrated ability in network troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ability in preparing and editing technical documentation.
- Ability to automate day to day operations through the use of bash, perl, or python scripting.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Must be able to interact effectively with customer, developers and end-users
- Candidates MUST be a US Citizen and be willing to obtain an ADP I or ADP II clearance.
- Candidates MUST have or be able to obtain a Security+ certification within 6 months of hire date.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Ten (10) years of experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Desired Skills/Experience
- Windows SA experience.
- Experience developing processes and procedures for OS support, working with AWS.
The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $103,200 - $146,500. The final salary will be determined based on various factors.
