About the Role:

The Lead Specialist, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence will support in driving the implementation of technology use cases, and development of in-house AI-ML applications on internal use cases. This role requires expertise in data science and artificial intelligence to contribute to the development and deployment of innovative solutions across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the digital technology team to identify and evaluate AI-ML use cases for enhancing process efficiency and reducing reliance on conventional technologies.
• Lead the development and implementation of novel data science and AI applications, including AI-advisory modelling, ML algorithms, and AI-based ESG and safety dashboards.
• Conduct technical research to explore potential AI-ML applications and stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in the field.
• Lead the development of testing and validation protocols to ensure successful implementation of new AI technologies.
• Collaborate with technology team to establish best practices, standards, policies, and procedures for the adoption of novel AI and data science applications.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in data science and artificial intelligence and share knowledge with the team.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including technology partners, vendors, and industry experts.
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring they understand the benefits and implications.
• Organize and lead regular meetings with stakeholders and team members to discuss AI-ML projects, gather feedback, and address any concerns.
• Continuously look for ways to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Demonstrate best practices in project management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in data science and AI-ML technologies or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of mining processes with focus on efficiency improvements.
